An immersive event is any activity or experience that places the audience directly in the action, stimulating their senses and allowing them to interact with their environment—regardless of whether their environment is physical or virtual. Examples include virtual reality experiences, alternate reality games, escape rooms, and immersive theater.

Drima creates customized, site-specific experiences with differing kinds of structures. This means that we don’t create scalable, replicable events the way, for instance, a touring theater company or a chain of escape rooms might do. Rather, our events are unique and designed specifically for a particular medium, space, or audience. If we do an event in Bloomington, it’s a Bloomington event.

Immersive events come in many shapes and colors, so to speak, so there is a lot of variety under that umbrella. Generally, we only do immersive events, but if you’ve got a pitch for us, we’re willing to listen.
